Things I'm looking forward to

1. Fall. I'm eager for the TV season to start so I can find out what happened to Luke and Lorelai and who was at Veronica's door.

2. Cooking and eating the contents of this package. Wanna guess what's inside?

  1. And here I was thinking I was the only one wondering what will happen with Luke and Lorelei! Glad to know I'm not alone.

  2. I love your blog, Jennifer.

You might like this: I have in mind a Gilmore feast at which we would serve some of the dishes the characters on the show mention in passing. There would be Sookie's bourbon-brined pork chops and the jalapeno mac 'n cheese she tried to serve to the kids at that birthday party. Of course there would be Luke's pancakes and burgers. I hope no one has thought of this already.

  3. I agree with Kat... it's probably salmon ready to be salted and cured. But I'm kind of hoping it's a new Kyocera knife!

  4. I can't believe I'm the only one who thought it looked like something illegal! I mean, I know it *isn't* -- but . . .

the gilmore feast *must* include some of Michel's crazy food, like whole-wheat blueberry pancakes with 12 blueberries each and egg white omelettes. And frozen pizza topped with foie gras. Actually, that last one sounds gross.

  5. It's not salmon.

I forgot all about Michel's crazy food. But I just remembered Rory's dorm food, e.g., after-hours cereal with Logan, and then there's Emily and Richard's friday night dinner food. Here's a favorite moment.

EMILY: How do you like your prime rib?
    JESS: Cooked.
