Wanted: adjective
Remember, before she became a convicted felon, when Martha Stewart was not only a person, company, and brand, but also an adjective? As in, this salad/décor/garden/centerpiece is so Martha! No one talks that way any more.
Have we lost our need for an adjective that means, more or less, a combination of fastidious, classy, and completely offensive? The indispensabilityy of Martha (adj.) in the years before her encounter with the federal grand jury suggests that the need remains. I don't miss Martha (n.) but I do miss Martha (adj.).
