I'm thinking that this food blogging thing might possibly work as a diet, the theory being that I could leave a half-eaten plate of food to get cold so I can get back to the pictures on the blogs. My eyes can taste the crunch in those latkes.
I'll have that squarish one in the second row. Ms Foreground Latke needs just another minute on the grill. ps. late (rhymes with what a)= patch latke = small patch

ReplyDeleteIn days of old, were they fried in schmaltz?

ReplyDeleteI imagine that they were fried in schmaltz in days of old. If so, however, kosher folks couldn't dress them with sour cream, which would be too bad.
I have another schmaltz post coming up soon that will involve potatoes, so keep your eye on the blog.
