Produce of 'Stallis

The West Allis Farmer's Market is the best in the area, but it's only open after 1 p.m. on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Today was the first day of the school year but since I teach only on Mondays and look after the kid on Tuesdays, today wasn't any different from most days.



Tomatoes are at the height of their season here. Peppers too.



And Italian zebra eggplant, little ones.



I love to see these Brussels sprouts on the stalk. I took home two of these.



Apples and squash are coming into season now. In a few weeks the nightshades will be gone and it will really feel like fall.
